I help people breathe easier.

20+ years in user experience, and it still daily captures my mind, imagination, and energy!  My favorite practices these days are in leadership and strategy, especially with teams of interaction designers, visual designers and UX researchers. Creating the space for such wide-ranging talents, and meeting the needs of real-world people, well, there is simply nothing better.

Okay, so I once wrote a Monte Carlo simulation in Matlab, but that's not really my thing.

In the midst of the fun, I take this profession seriously. It is a craft to be learned and perfected every day. Having gotten a PhD under my belt, with HCI as the focus, my learning ground is now other professionals in the field. Come to the Hot Topics in UX meetup, or UXPA 2016 where a partner and I will be presenting "Adversarial to Harmonious: Building the Developer/UX Connection" or just ask me to coffee. Sharing is what it's all about after all.
