Teaching & Mentoring

Expert knowledge of learning outcomes and techniques, based on in-depth pedagogy, curriculum planning, all grounded in the practices of user experience goals.

Learning techniques

Pedagogy & learning - PhD in Experimental Psychology, extensive graduate and professional studies. Studied with Dr. Michael Domjan, a foremost expert in learning and memory.

Curriculum development - The defense training doctrine is a gold standard in effective learning.  In more than fifteen years of solutions development for defense, nearly every delivery involved significant training components. Of the programs I worked and lead, I was chief curriculum developer, and frequently the lead instructor.

Courses taught

Courses taught over the course of my career, both in professional and academic settings range from psychology, to user experience methods and career development, and simplifying concepts of electromagnetic radiation for generalist software testers.

Co-developed and taught key modules for the professional software project management master's equivalent certification program through the Center for Lifelong Engineering Education at The University of Texas at Austin.

Championed, co-developed, and implemented a user experience applied training curriculum for the User Experience Professionals Association international conference learning initiatives.
